The University of Cambridge Conservation Shared Service offers conservation and collections care to Colleges, Cambridge University Museums and other collections in the University of Cambridge. Our highly skilled team of conservation specialists helps ensure that the globally significant collections in the University and Colleges are well looked after for centuries to come.
We treat a wide variety of object types and materials including painted objects, metal, stone, plaster, ceramics, glass, wood, leather and ivory. We help create safe environments for cultural heritage collections and archives. We provide training for non-specialist staff in routine housekeeping and care for valued collections, as well as how to respond in an emergency.

Membership
We offer annual memberships to Colleges and other non-UCM university departments with collections, which combine all the benefits of a bespoke service with our most favourable rates. We can also undertake projects at a day rate. Memberships include access to our world-renowned paintings conservation and scientific analytical and imaging services.
