AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Partnership (CDP) studentship - Re-evaluating Punch Marks on Early Italian Paintings

The Hamilton Kerr Institute and Department of History of Art (University of Cambridge), and the National Gallery, London are pleased to announce the availability of a fully funded Collaborative Doctoral Studentship from October 2023 under the AHRC's Collaborative Doctoral Partnership (CDP) Scheme. Re-evaluating Punch Marks on Early Italian Paintings will take a fresh look with novel techniques at the decorative marks applied to the gilded backgrounds of paintings.

This project will be jointly supervised by Lucy Wrapson, Donal Cooper (both University of Cambridge) and Marika Spring (National Gallery).
