Departmental Administrator, Hamilton Kerr Institute

The Hamilton Kerr Institute is currently seeking to appoint a Departmental Administrator.

The role holder advises the Director in all aspects of management and financial organisation, handles all confidential matters of the Institute, develops systems and undertakes project management for the conservation treatments and projects undertaken by the Institute, and is the registrar for students and interns, as well as the Human Resources representative. Two staff members, and any volunteers, report to the role holder.

Due to the diversity, scope and level of responsibility of the role, the job is very demanding, and requires a pro-active and flexible approach to problem solving, and excellent organisational and communication skills. The Institute is a small establishment at a distance from Cambridge and the role of the Administrator is pivotal in fostering a team spirit and close working relationship among staff, interns and students.
