Biography

Alice has a degree in Applied Chemistry from the 'Universidade Nova de Lisboa - FCT' in Lisbon, 1995 and an MA in Easel Painting Conservation from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, 1995. Post-graduate internships included a placement at SRAL in Maastricht 1995-96, and an internship at the Hamilton Kerr Institute from 1996 to 1999. During 2000 Alice was employed at the HKI and then taught painting conservation at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London, between 2001 and 2010. Alice returned to the HKI in 2010 as a part-time teaching/ painting conservator and is also currently working as a freelance conservator in Norwich.
